About the

concept

What is co-living? Who can apply?

Co-Living is a modern form of housing where residents share living space and a set of interests, values, and intentions. It’s a new take on an old idea, imagined by a millennial generation that values things like openness and collaboration, social networking, and the sharing economy.
 STACEY houses are all composed of private rooms and common spaces such as a kitchen, a living room and a dining room to facilitate communication between members.
Everyone can apply. The future members are working professionals with an age between 20 and 35 years. However, everyone is more than welcome to apply for one of our apartments.

What about the community? Who are your members?

Right now, STACEY is at the beginning of starting its journey in Germany. We are opening our first space in Hamburg in the next weeks. We target people who are  curious, open-minded and look for new opportunities to connect and learn new things.

What kind of events are usually organized?

Different type of events are organized every month for or by the members. It can be a movie night, a yoga class, a poker tournament, a citizen initiative, a soccer game or simply a dinner.

What are the STACEY services?

In addition to the accommodation, every member gets included services such as free Netflix, weekly cleaning and fully furnished rooms. We want our members to spend their time doing the things they love.
This service is free of charge as it is included in the monthly rent.

How can I get a room?

You first have to apply online to verify room availability. If we have a room available at the date you’re looking for, you'll be contacted by our Community Manager to schedule a tour.

How does the renting system work?

Our memberships are all-inclusive. The price you see is the price you will pay. The prices for our suites start at €495. In addition to the rent, we ask for a deposit that we pay back once you move-out.

What’s included in the membership?

Beyond living & connecting with an open-minded community, a membership includes:

  • A fully-furnished room
  • Large and well-decorated common spaces
  • A tech-friendly environment : Nuki, Ring, Spotify, Sonos, Netflix, high speed Wi-Fi
  • All utilities
  • Weekly cleaning of the common spaces
  • Monthly events
  • Coffee and water flatrate

How to deal with the check in / check out?

The check in and the check out are done through an application with your House Manager. In case of damages in the room, the amount for the reparation will be retained from your deposit.
 In case of damages in the common spaces, the amount for the reparation will be split between the people currently living in the house.

What’s a House Manager?

A House Manager is a peer-elected member who is responsible for maintaining the good condition of the house and the well-being of the other members. Each house has it’s own House Manager.

How long can I stay in a STACEY apartment?

The minimum length of a stay is 3 months while the maximum is 1 year. However you can contact your Community Manager if you want to extend your stay.

Is it possible to move from one house to another?

Yes, as long as there is a free room. Moreover, you have priority over people not in the STACEY network yet.

Can I make changes in my room?

You can do pretty much what you want in your room as long as you give it back the way you found it.

Can I terminate my lease before it’s term?

Only in exceptional cases as we you signed a fixed-term rental agreement

Can I invite a friend to stay with me?

Yes, as long as your housemates agree with it. Once in a house, the House Manager will be your referent.

How to deal with an unpleasantness during my stay?

Every member get access to our dedicated STACEY web-application. Within the application, you will be able to report an incident or add a wish for your house.

Are couples allowed?

Yes. We allow couples in certain apartments. Please specify during the application process.

Are pets allowed?

No.

Is there parking accommodations?

We don’t have private parkings for any of the houses.

Is there a curfew?

STACEY doesn't impose any curfew on it’s houses but we count on our members to respect the neighborhood.
